Editorial policy
This policy describes the standard adopted for the August 2026 editorial refresh. It also identifies the limits of historic commercial data instead of presenting those fields as verified facts.
Publishing standards
- Source consequential claims. Evergreen guides show at least two authoritative sources and access dates. Jurisdiction-specific claims identify the market.
- Separate editorial from feed data. A sourced guide does not verify a commercial card. Feed-derived ratings, licence labels, availability and payout bands keep their own evidence burden.
- No invented experience. We do not claim an account, deposit, game session or withdrawal was tested without a dated evidence record.
- Accountable desk byline. BonusSherpa desk identifies the publishing function. It is not a fabricated person or credential. No reviewer is named unless a real accountable person signs off.
- Correct visibly. Substantive article changes update the visible date.
What “desk research” means
Editors consult current regulator, government, health-service and official rule sources, record access dates, calculate examples from stated assumptions and link the evidence. Desk research does not mean an operator account or withdrawal was tested.
Promotion terms change. Readers should compare an article with the operator’s current market-specific terms and, for licence or legal status, the applicable regulator.
Automation and accountability
Automated tools may assist drafting, structure and checks. They do not become an author or reviewer. The role-based BonusSherpa desk byline is accountable for publication, and source links allow readers to inspect the basis of factual claims.
